Klara is a good friend of mine. She is a great gymnast and  a fun person to have around. The plan with the portait session was to take some portraits using natural lighting and the setting sun as a backdrop. Plans changed after a couple of frames since the sun hid behind some low clouds giving a dull lighting.

So we I used a Canon 580EX II Speedlight in a 36″ Lastolite Hotrod Octa Softbox to give some punch and extra contrast. The softbox was held just ouside the frame to give as soft light as possible. Balanced it with the ambient light to give a natural look.

The Speedlight was triggered with the PocketWizard MiniTT1 on the camara and a FlexTT5 as receiver.
